Flexible Backups
Manually copying personal electronic keepsakes like photos, movies, music, finances, correspondence and data files can be forgotten until a catastrophe. The ReadyNAS offers numerous configurable options to keep you covered. First, NTI’s Shadow software automates client backups to the ReadyNAS. Shadow does CDP (continuous data protection) so backups occur as soon as your files are saved, regardless of schedule. Secondly, an integrated Backup Manager can do backups from the ReadyNAS to a remote PC, Mac, or Linux system, to an FTP site, to another ReadyNAS, or to a local USB drive. Automate jobs with a schedule or do one on demand by simply pressing the button on the front of the system.
Multifunction USB Ports
The ReadyNAS Pro Pioneer Edition has 3 USB 2.0 ports. Share your USB printers by connecting them to the Pro Pioneer and using the built-in print server. Hook up external USB hard disks and share them on your network. Or, connect a camera and automatically dump your photos to a safe and central location!
The ReadyNAS Pro Pioneer Edition is designed for home installations. It does not include hard disks or support for Windows Active Directory integration, snapshot, iSCSI, NIC teaming/failover, SNMP or secure rsync. For these and other business-class features, look at the ReadyNAS Pro Business Edition.
